Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and the rest of the Top Dawg Entertainment team is gearing up for “The Championship Tour.” Today, the label released a hilarious new promo for their upcoming jaunt.
K-Dot and Jay Rock work on tennis drills, while ScHoolboy Q and SZA have some fun on the golf course. Later, Isaiah Rashad and Lance Skiiiwalker practice kicking soccer balls, while rising singer Zacari helps Ab-Soul with his b-ball skills.
Soundtracked by a motivational ’80s-inspired song, the crew works hard to impress scouts. That includes the label boss Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and president Dave Free. Coincidentally, the latter little homie co-directed the visual with Jack Begert.
After a grueling session of running drills and weightlifting, the crew is in a celebratory mood. But before they can qualify, they’re asked to take a drug test. While his labelmates walk away, Kung Fu Kenny says it’s no problem. “That’s an easy call,” he exclaims. “I can do that.”
Featuring K-Dot, SZA, Q, Rock, Soul, SiR, and Lance, “The Championship Tour” kicks off May 4 in Vancouver. The trek will run across North America before closing June 16 in Pittsburgh.

J. Cole warms up NBA fans for this season’s hotly-anticipated playoffs. The Dreamville boss performs a spoken-word piece about this year’s many different storylines as part of a new ESPN commercial.
“There’s gold at stake for Golden State,” he raps. “How much weight can King’s shoulders take? / When the odds ain’t great, some fold and break / While greats let the dreams of a ring motivate.”
Following subtle nods to injuries and up-and-comers, Cole World also reps for the underdogs. “Never sleep on a man that’s expected to lose,” he raps. “With a chip on his shoulder and something to prove / The bottom’s for the wolves and they thirsty for blood / The mission is to catch somebody slipping above.”

Now, fans await new music. Cole’s last album, 4 Your Eyez Only, arrived in 2016. Most recently, he also collaborated with Royce da 5’9″ on the soulful “Boblo Boat” and Cozz on the more playful “Zendaya.” Next month, he will co-headline Rolling Loud.

Nicki Minaj attacks the clones. After premiering the double dose of “Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li,” the Young Money queen unleashes the preview for the latter’s video.
The visual snippet kicks off with a dramatic walk-up. Dressed in her “Chun-Li” cover art outfit, a provocative Nicki Minaj struts her thong-wearing body across a studio floor.
An outfit change follows. Soon, she dresses up like an animated doll with dramatic makeup. She makes robotic action-figure motions with a blonde wig, fluorescent wardrobe, and all. Meanwhile, an imitator copies her moves by her side.
This copycat theme, which also appears on the new single, continues in the short clip. In fact, the video ends with men and women throwing Nicki Minaj’s cartoon portrait over their faces.
“Barbie Tingz” and “Chun-Li” are expected to appear on Nicki Minaj’s long-awaited next album, the follow-up to 2014’s The Pinkprint. During her Beats 1 premiere interview, she also announced that a documentary and global arena tour will follow.

Blac Chyna dreams big. After defending herself in the stroller squabble saga, the model-turned-rapper opens up about her dream home in a special video for Architectural Digest.
Speaking with architect Michael Lehrer of Lehrer Architects, the pink-haired model reveals some of her must-haves, some of which were inspired by 50 Shades of Grey and Richie Rich.
Chyna requests an all-glass house but says everything needs to be made out of marble. Her hustler’s spirit shows when she asks for a storage warehouse for products, a recording studio for new music, and money room with a vault.
Aside from a 10-car garage, Chyna also makes other requests including an infinity pool, an all-white room, and a secret sex dungeon with private access. To top everything off, she wants her name spelled out in a topiary garden.
Lehrer shows Blac Chyna some designs of what her home could look like. He suggests an oceanfront property for ideal views of the sea. He also prepared 3-D models to bring those ideas to life. Watch the planning session unfold below.
